Garanti BBVA’s mobile app sails past 16 million active users in 2024

Garanti BBVA continues to lead the way when it comes to digital transformation, adding value for its customers while steering the industry with its innovative solutions. In 2024, the bank’s mobile banking app, Garanti BBVA Mobil, reached over 16.5 million active users, making it one of Türkiye’s most popular banking apps.

Leveraging its customer-centric approach and digital innovations, Garanti BBVA also grew its total customer base to 27.3 million in 2024, making Garanti BBVA the bank of choice for one in two banking customers in Türkiye.

  • Comprehensive solutions for all needs: car, home, and travel -Garanti BBVA Mobil allows customers to manage all their needs and expenses via the “Car,” “Home,” and “Travel” menus available in the app. These features make it easier for users to keep track of their finances and payments by generating useful alerts and helpful reminders to make their lives that bit easier.
  • Agile investment tracking - The revamped “Investment Menu” lets customers track their investments on a single screen, offering a comprehensive view of their portfolio, from stocks and funds to pensions and gold, with real-time updates.
  • 61 million chats with ‘Ugi’ in 2024 - In 2024, Garanti BBVA’s AI assistant, Ugi, handled over 60 million chats, helping more than 5 million customers resolve their doubts. The bank continues to enhance Ugi’s capabilities, making it smarter and more personalized.
  • Powerful fraud protection thanks to the ‘Secure Call’ feature - A key innovation in 2024 was the ‘Secure Call’ feature, which verifies calls from the bank through the mobile app, delivering powerful protection against phone scams.
  • Mobile innovations making life easier - Garanti BBVA Mobil introduced several new features in 2024, including ‘Request Payment,’ which allows users to request money from their contacts via Garanti BBVA or other banks.

These innovative features will be further expanded throughout 2025. From deferred loans to digital vehicle financing and new insurance products, Garanti BBVA Mobil provided numerous solutions to meet customers’ financial needs, with over 1,000 functions available to users.
