The winner of the coveted ‘Türkiye’s Women Entrepreneur’ award (TL 250,000 in prize money) will be announced at the February 2025 ceremony. Awardees in the categories of ‘Women Entrepreneur Making a Sustainable Difference,’ ‘Most Promising Woman in Technology,’ ‘Best Social Impact Entrepreneur,’ and ‘Best Cooperative’ will each receive TL 200,000.

Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President Sibel Kaya stated, “We work hard to empower women and unlock their potential in social and economic life. To achieve this, we run our pioneering Women Entrepreneurship Program.” The competition embraces the success of women entrepreneurs across five categories, while showcasing the economic, technological and social benefits provided by budding female talent. By helping women inspire other women across the country, the event focuses on the difference and benefits that women entrepreneurs can bring to their communities.

BBVA’s franchise in Türkiye has been offering its unwavering support to women entrepreneurs since 2006, in the fields of financing, training, encouragement and opening up to new markets. The Women Entrepreneur Award in Türkiye marks the pinnacle of its efforts.  Over the past 17 years, the program has received more than 45,000 entries and granted awards and support to upward of 70 women entrepreneurs. In addition, the original single award has by now expanded to five different award categories.

According to Esra Bezircioğlu, Chair of KAGİDER, the Turkish business association for women, the competition sponsored and hosted by Garanti BBVA is a testament to the courage and innovative spirit of women entrepreneurs. “It is a huge pleasure for all three partners to reward the achievements of women entrepreneurship in sustainable development,” she said.

Ekonomist magazine Editor-in-Chief Talip Yılmaz said, “The Women Entrepreneur Competition, which we organize in partnership with Garanti BBVA and KAGİDER, is one of the most successful activities we have carried out ever since we first went to print in 1991.”

“We encourage women entrepreneurs and cooperatives to enter Türkiye’s Women Entrepreneur Competition to be in with the chance of being proclaimed a winner,” said Garanti BBVA’s Sibel Kaya.
