Garanti BBVA launches Partners Tech Program to support tech-based startups

Entrepreneurs with promising business ideas in data, cyber security, payment systems or sustainability may now seek support under the Garanti BBVA Partners Tech Program (https://www.garantibbvapartners.com), with applications to be received by January 31, 2024.

Aprender a emprender: seis pasos para el éxito en el emprendimiento

The evaluation committee will select the successful projects, which must have completed the minimum viable product (MVP) stage, have been up and running for at least two years and have high market potential, a scalable business model and a robust revenue model. The selected startups will then spend six months in the Garanti BBVA Partners Tech Startup Accelerator, where they will receive office space, bespoke mentoring, cooperation opportunities with Garanti BBVA, Garanti BBVA Technology and their affiliates, advertising/PR support, business and product consultancy, training and seminars, office technical infrastructure support, and beneficial terms and conditions on various banking products and services.

Garanti BBVA Partners was set up in 2015 to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem and has been instrumental in turning some 60 startups into sustainable businesses through its Startup Accelerator.

In the words of Sibel Kaya, Executive Vice President of Garanti BBVA: “At Garanti BBVA, we value entrepreneurship and view diversity, innovation and sustainability as the key parts of our corporate culture. Consumer behaviors and needs are rapidly changing and we need to keep up and devise new ways of doing business. As a bank that continuously invests in technology, we are keen to support entrepreneurs whose projects embrace technology.

As sustainability comes first in our strategy, inclusive growth is a must, and not only in the financial realm, but also to turn startups into sustainable businesses, generate more innovation within the economy and grow the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Our startup incubator has been running since 2015 and includes the Garanti BBVA Partners Tech program to support tech-based startups by offering our knowledge and experience. We are now inviting applications from entrepreneurs with promising data, cyber security, payment systems or sustainability projects, with the deadline closing on January 31, 2024.”
