Garanti BBVA Crypto partners with Bitstamp for crypto trading service
Garanti BBVA Crypto, a subsidiary of Garanti BBVA, recently entered a partnership with Bitstamp, the world’s longest-operating crypto exchange platform and core liquidity provider. The aim of this partnership is to allow customers to trade in multiple currencies. In addition, investors in both crypto currencies and traditional financial markets can trade a series of approved digital assets, thus helping to boost crypto access and adoption in Türkiye.
Garanti BBVA Crypto General Manager Korcan Abalı explained that they began offering services to crypto customers in 2023. Although legal regulations are shaping the digital asset market in Türkiye, as one of the top providers, Garanti BBVA Crypto seeks to deliver the best digital asset service while leading the sector in growth in accordance with these regulations, he noted.
Abali added that the Garanti BBVA Crypto first assesses the values of potential partners in terms of level of service and regulatory compliance. Since its establishment, Garanti BBVA Crypto has been running an exchange cooperation business model focused on liquidity sharing with Bitstamp. “As a regulated institution with extensive experience in crypto markets, we are pleased to partner with Bitstamp to provide our customers liquidity. This collaboration allows our crypto customers to experience digital asset services at the bank level.”
Meanwhile, Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux, Global CEO of Bitstamp, stated that the Turkish crypto industry is making improvements in transparency, security and customer protection as it continues to move toward mainstream adoption. “This partnership is an exciting next step in making crypto more accessible to everyone,” he said, adding: “We are proud to have been selected as the first crypto exchange to partner with Garanti BBVA Crypto, one of the leading institutions in the industry in Turkey. We look forward to working even more closely together to mainstream the adoption of digital assets.”
