Garanti BBVA takes home 10 EMEA Finance Awards

Garanti BBVA was named the ‘Best Renewable Project Finance Institution’, ‘Best Structured Finance Institution’ and ‘Best Restructuring Institution’ in the Central and Eastern European Region. The bank’s sustainable syndicated loan in the amount of $259.5 million and €142.5 million was also recognized as the ‘Best Syndicated Loan Among Financial Institutions’. Furthermore, Garanti BBVA was presented the awards for the ‘Best Renewable Energy Transaction’, ‘Best Industrial Transaction’, ‘Best Refinancing Transaction’, ‘Best Structured Loan’, ‘Best Syndicated Loan’ and ‘Best Restructuring Loan’ for the projects it has financed and intermediated.

Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President Mahmut Akten underscored the importance the bank places on providing financing to Türkiye's leading investments to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the country’s institutions. “These awards mean a lot to us as they bring  international recognition of our country's top projects and their compliance with certain criteria. In addition to the awards given to Garanti BBVA, the fact that the projects we have financed have also received awards shows that our bank's expertise, guidance and trust it has in its clients are also appreciated abroad.”

The Executive Vice President also stressed the bank’s efforts to ensure it meets the rapidly changing needs of its clients. “We will continue to support the financing of projects that contribute to the sustainability of our country's economy and maintain our pioneering and leading position in this field," he concluded
