Top 10 personal finance apps in Google Play and Apple Store in December
Mobile banking apps tend to top the rankings on the two largest application store platforms. However, there is always the occasional surprise.
Mobile versions from the various financial institutions are nearly always the most popular Finance mobile apps from application stores such as Google Play and App Store. However, it's always possible to draw conclusions from the entries in the ranking of other types of applications, corporate or not, which help shed light on the demands of digital users in terms of their finances.
December was no exception, with the list pointing to certain user trends, particularly when jointly considered with the previous month's top 10.
Undoubtedly, the biggest highlight is a new entry, Twyp. ING Direct's payment platform allows its users to exchange money using only their phone number. Although this app is not a new launch is Spain, it has only now achieved enough downloads to make the ranking. Barclays: Pingit in the UK or Snapcash (join project by Square and the social network Snapchat) in the USA have also gained recognition thanks to their continued use.
