Garanti BBVA has signed a new agreement with Enterprise Türkiye to encourage the use of electric mobility and car rentals. Within the scope of this collaboration, the bank is offering its customers an ecommerce loan, namely a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) loan, to rent energy-efficient electric vehicles with a low carbon footprint.

Turkey's first and only carbon trading platform, Erguvan (erguvan.co), has offset the carbon emissions of airport operator TAV in Ankara, Izmir and Enfidha. TAV supported two Verra-licensed projects, one of the leading carbon standards in the voluntary carbon market, and offset 21,603 tons of carbon emissions through the Erguvan platform.

Meridiam formalizes the world’s first electric vehicle project finance with BBVA
The Meridiam infrastructure fund has enlisted the services of BBVA to finance the first project finance for electric vehicles in the world. BBVA has acted as Mandated Lead Arranger in this operation, involving the participation of seven banks and a total amount of 138 million euros.
