BBVA invests more than 3.5 billion pesos to upgrade sustainable branch offices
To enhance both employee and customer experience and align with its sustainable real estate renovation plan, BBVA has invested over 3.5 billion pesos in Argentina to remodel 10 branches, covering civil works, equipment, technology, and security upgrades.
As part of the renovations, all branches now feature expanded floor space, a refurbished 24-hour lobby with increased capacity for self-service machines, a commercial platform with additional workstations, more cashier stations, a meeting room, and safe deposit boxes.
The renovated branches have many sustainability measures on display: reduced water consumption, storage and collection of recyclable materials, solar energy for electricity and water heating, and energy-efficient carpentry and micro-perforated textile facades for solar control. Additionally, the landscaping prioritizes native vegetation, among other eco-friendly enhancements.
"This major investment is aimed at strategically relocating our branches. New, more spacious, efficient and sustainable branches are being planned, improving the experience of our customers and employees. This is yet another example of our institution's ongoing commitment to the country and to sustainability”, said Hernán Jordán, Head of Marketing at BBVA in Argentina.
Among the branches that have been relocated and opened are: Caleta Olivia, Monte Grande, Wilde, Av. Constitución Mar del Plata and Martinez Libertador. The Puerto Madero, Cerro Las Rosas Córdoba, Luján de Cuyo, La Plata, and Av Corrientes branches are currently in the development and planning stage.
LEED-certified branch
The new building built by BBVA on the corner of Patagones and Avenida Constitución, in the city of Mar del Plata, is the bank's first branch office to be designed according to LEED standards, focusing on sustainability and environmental protection.
This two-level project merges BBVA's corporate interior design with a new external image featuring exposed concrete and textile facades. The adherence to LEED standards introduces innovative design and construction practices, resulting in an environmentally responsible building that promotes the well-being of employees.
