BBVA recognized as best bank in Peru in 2023 by The Banker
The British magazine, which belongs to the Financial Times, has crowned BBVA as the best financial institution in Peru for its progress toward digitalization and sustainability. It also recognized BBVA as Bank of the Year in Latin America thanks to its ability to outperform its competitors, not only in Peru but throughout the wider region.
The magazine was impressed by the growth of the bank’s mobile app, which has become the most popular banking channel among customers, ahead of Internet banking, ATMs and bank branches. According to The Banker, BBVA in Peru has an outstanding portfolio of sustainable products, including its Eco Mortgage to acquire sustainable homes, with green homes now accounting for 60% of the total mortgage portfolio.
