How one scholarship can change someone’s life
Every year, the BBVA Compass Passion for Education Scholarship program changes people’s lives. Through the program, BBVA Compass offers scholarships to its employees’ eligible dependents who attend an accredited college, university, or trade school. Up to 42 awards of $3,000 each are presented annually. Since the program’s inception in 1987, BBVA Compass has awarded 663 scholarships, totaling almost $1.8 million in program grants.
“This is truly a special program,” said Vickie Tollett, who as BBVA Compass Director of Employee Engagement has overseen the program for the past several years. “It’s a chance for us to help these students achieve their dreams, pursue their goals, and do something they might not otherwise have been able to do.”
