Top 10 personal finance apps in Google Play and Apple Store in April
Mobile banking apps tend to top the rankings on the two largest application store platforms. However, there is always the occasional surprise.
The mobile versions of different banks are nearly always the most popular apps in the Finance category in stores like Google Play and App Store, however, other kinds of applications entering the top 10, be they corporate or not, can be indicative of user demands for managing their finances.
January was no exception, with the list pointing to certain user trends, particularly when jointly considered with the previous month's top 10.
This month has seen the widespread fragmentation of banking services on the app distribution platforms. Another conclusion we can draw is that Android users, with Twyp (the instant payment app between mobiles and accounts in different banks) and the Trading 212 app, leave most space on their devices for finance apps that go one step further than traditional banking services, as is the case in iOS devices for the now consolidated Fintonic.
