‘Request Payment’, the new way to request and send money, now available via Garanti BBVA Mobile Banking

Following the efforts made by the Interbank Card Center (BKM) in Türkiye to simplify payments among individual and self-employed customers, Garanti BBVA has now launched the ‘Request Payment’ feature via its mobile and online banking services.

This new feature allows our customers to request a money transfer into the accounts of their acquaintances at Garanti BBVA or other banks if they are awaiting payment from somebody or need cash on the spot. The user simply initiates the payment request by entering the account information of the person he or she knows, and if the other party accepts, the payment is sent to that person via SWIFT, making it super easy to request urgent cash via our digital channels.

Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President, Çağrı Süzer, said,  “‘Request Payment’ is a great new way to request money and simplifies the whole process of making transfers. We at Garanti BBVA will continue to offer products and services to make our customers’ lives that bit easier.”

To be able to view payment requests and make payments, the ‘Payment Request’ option must be turned on in ‘Product Preference Settings’ under the ‘Profile and Settings’ tab of Garanti BBVA Mobile.
