Garanti BBVA redesigns its mobile app to focus on simplicity and smart features

BBVA's Turkish unit recently updated the design of its digital banking app, Garanti BBVA Mobile, to offer its customers a more personalized, user-friendly experience and a range of new smart features.

The personalized recommendations and reminders help customers make more informed financial decisions. For instance, if a customer spends less on entertainment one month, the app will suggest they put the difference into their savings. It also offers payment reminders and analyzes customer spending habits to suggest any financial solutions that may serve them better.

Users can also customize the menu on the home screen of the app for quick access to the features they use the most. Another key feature summarizes and tracks any transactions that were initiated, but not completed, guiding users back to the pending step of the transaction to avoid missing payments.

Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President Ceren Acer Kezik reiterated the bank’s aim to make it easier for its customers to manage their personal finances through a seamless, personalized user experience. As a result, around 17 million customers choose to use Garanti BBVA Mobile for their digital banking. “Garanti BBVA continues to lead the industry, especially following the success of our AI-based smart assistant, Ugi. We have now taken the next step to update our mobile banking app. Garanti BBVA Mobile will continue to make life easier for millions of customers.”
