Garanti BBVA joins forces with GSA to promote the startup ecosystem in Türkiye
The Global Startup Awards (GSA), one of the most prestigious events for independent startups, will be held in Türkiye for the first time on September 24-25. With Garanti BBVA as the lead sponsor, GSA aims to recognize innovative startups in the Turkish entrepreneurship ecosystem, while bringing together a large community of entrepreneurs, investors, VCs, thought leaders, industry benchmarks, ecosystem partners, and other key stakeholders.
Garanti BBVA places great importance on supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem, which drives sustainable growth within society and across the economy.
“We are working to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Türkiye,” remarked Sibel Kaya, Executive Vice President responsible for SME Banking at Garanti BBVA.
Kaya explained that through the Garanti BBVA Partners Entrepreneurship Ramp-Up Program, “we have been supporting technology entrepreneurs for many years, and through our Women Entrepreneurship Program, we have been busy supporting budding female talent. We believe that international platforms like the Global Startup Awards will also help grow the startup ecosystem in Türkiye.”
The GSA event also provides an invaluable networking forum between entrepreneurs and investors, while encouraging knowledge sharing. “We will continue to ramp up our support for the ecosystem with the aim of making Türkiye a bigger player in the global entrepreneurship arena,” she added.
