BBVA, a model of transformation for the world
On the occasion of BBVA’s Annual General Meeting, economists, executives, presidents of large multinationals and entrepreneurs commended BBVA’s pioneering transformation, which has turned the bank into a model for the financial world and other key economic sectors.
Myron S. Scholes, Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences; Oliver Bäte, CEO of Allianz; Nobuyuki Hirano, President and Group CEO of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group; Ben Milne, CEO and Founder of Dwolla; and Colin Maclay, Harvard Business School professor were impressed by BBVA’s transformation. They acknowledged the Group’s progression toward becoming a technology company, as well as the significant cultural change in its workforce – essential to surviving in the new competitive environment.
