In honor of Financial Literacy Month, we’re recognizing four incredible BBVA USA employees who in total contributed more than 350 hours to helping customers work toward their goals of achieving financial freedom, home ownership, and more in 2020.

Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15-Oct. 15 in recognition of several Latin American independence days, recognizes and celebrates the contributions that people tracing their roots to Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean have made to American society and culture.

Business Banking Officer (BBO) Chris Sievers’s relationship with the Colorado bank that would eventually become BBVA began more than 20 years ago when he was in high school, contracting as a handyman for the bank. This May, Sievers celebrates an official 20 years with BBVA and his journey, like many here at the bank, is one of opportunity and internal mobility. He shared how BBVA has fostered his growth and development over the years, from one career-enriching role to the next.

More than 3,000 BBVA team members are seeing the benefits of SmartDollar, a free, holistic financial wellness program founded by finance guru Dave Ramsey, since the bank made it available to employees in 2017.
