Garanti’s 2018 Integrated Annual Report puts the focus on its culture of empathy
Garanti Bank recently published its 2018 Integrated Annual Report with an important new feature. The report includes a “True Stories” theme this year: real stories about the experiences Garanti employees have had with customers across Turkey, in their own words. Garanti is the first and only bank in Turkey to publish an integrated annual report that includes information on the value the bank creates for customers.
The report combines the contributions Garanti makes to the country and society with its goal of responsible and sustainable development, offering all stakeholders a clear and comprehensive look at the company’s annual performance indicators. For Garanti, the bank’s efforts to create value for customers and society as a whole are part of the culture of empathy it promotes. Despite the difficult and volatile year for Turkey and global markets, this culture of empathy and customer-oriented approach played a vital role in the bank’s success in 2018.
Garanti Bank Chief Executive Officer Fuat Erbil stressed the importance of empathy in the bank’s customer relations: “The emotional experience our customers have is just as critical as the rational solutions we offer at every point of contact with them. The ability to empathize is key so that we can continually focus on understanding customers’ changing needs and expectations, providing solutions that improve their lives and save them time.”
For Garanti, the secret to success lies in being there for customers in every moment of their lives. “We will continue to show our customers that we are thinking about them and that we will always be standing by their side,” he added.
