Forbes selects BBVA as the best Spanish bank in the World’s Best Employers 2023
BBVA is the top Spanish financial institution in the ranking by the prestigious U.S. publication. The list, compiled from 170,000 employee surveys, includes the companies with the best work environment, with the most satisfied, proud employees.
Forbes magazine, in collaboration with Statista, published a new edition of the World’s Best Employers ranking for the fourth consecutive year. BBVA stands out as the top Spanish bank in this ranking, and is one of only eight Spanish companies included in the 700 companies in the list. The bank holds the 342nd position, improving nearly 100 positions from last year.
The ranking is the result of thorough research on the quality of employers on a global scale. 170,000 employees from 55 countries participated in this research through anonymous surveys analyzing the work environment, satisfaction with the company, professional development and the degree of recommendation. Similarly, survey respondents also assessed companies in their respective sectors.
“Our aim is for our employees to have the best environment where they can work, grow personally and professionally, fulfill their personal purpose and contribute to the bank’s purpose in a tangible way,” said Carlos Casas, Global Head of Talent and Culture at BBVA. In such a competitive market like the talent market, the bank is working to offer a unique value proposition that helps to attract and retain the best people.
This value proposition by the bank covers all areas of interest for a professional: a model that encompasses personalized development and training plans, the foundation for merit-based, transparent growth, the promotion of diversity, flexible work schemes, a clear commitment to managers’ leadership and a proposition focused on the well-being of the workforce.
“Forbes’ recognition helps us to remain committed to talent, promoting the major trends in people management and being able to have the best team,” he added. The bank’s inclusion in Forbes’ World’s Best Employers is in addition to the bank’s other recognitions, rankings and awards in recent months, including from Randstad Employer Brand Research, Time magazine, LinkedIn Top Companies in Spain, Top Employer Spain, Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award and Merco Spain Talent Report.
