Garanti BBVA leads the way in SME transformation
Garanti BBVA, in collaboration with the Turkish Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED), has launched an innovative initiative to empower SMEs in Türkiye through the ‘New Horizons in Twin Transformation’ project. This forward-thinking program aims to prepare SMEs for global trends in green and digital transformation, setting them up for long-term success in an increasingly dynamic and competitive world.
The project underscores Garanti BBVA’s dedication to providing businesses with innovative solutions that embed sustainability and digitization into their core operations. The launch, organized in Denizli and hosted by the South Aegean Industry and Business Federation (GESİFED), kicked off a series of workshops, panels, and interactive sessions across five provinces with the aim to guide SMEs through the principles and practices of twin transformation.
Garanti BBVA Vice President Sibel Kaya put the spotlight on the critical role of the financial sector in fostering sustainable business models. She noted that Garanti BBVA places sustainability at the center of its strategy, focusing on key green finance initiatives such as renewable energy projects, energy efficiency investments, and sustainability-linked loans. The bank also champions inclusive economic growth by supporting gender equality, education, and women entrepreneurs. “Twin transformation is a challenging but inspiring journey,” Kaya remarked. “It holds tremendous opportunities, not just for businesses, but also for society and the environment. At Garanti BBVA, we are committed to standing alongside SMEs, offering our expertise and resources to support them as they embrace this transformation.”
