What this means is that any entrepreneur can now turn their business idea into a lawfully incorporated company within a matter of days, without having to worry about all the red tape. BBVA is expanding the support it offers its customers, as it supports entrepreneurs even before they become customers of the bank.

Garanti BBVA continues to make life easier for its customers with Garanti BBVA Mobile: with more than 15.5 million active users, it is the most widely used private-sector banking app in Türkiye. App usage has risen fivefold over the past five years, and in the first half of 2024 topped 2.7 billion logins, making for a monthly average of 450 million visits, while completed transactions increased by 25 percent to almost 800 million.

The EIB Group (European Investment Bank and European Investment Fund) has invested €377 million in the ¨BBVA Consumer 2024-1¨ securitisation fund. This investment will enable BBVA to channel nearly €800 million into the real economy to finance energy efficiency projects and new mortgages for highly energy-efficient homes. The operation also includes financing for projects to boost the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps in Spain.

(BBVA GWA), the U.S. subsidiary and registered investment advisor (RIA) of Madrid-based BBVA, has selected BNY Mellon's Pershing as its clearing and custody provider. BBVA GWA’s advisory clients will access broker-dealer services from Pershing Advisor Solutions (PAS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon. PAS is an SEC-registered broker-dealer, member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA), and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).

The Turkish central bank recently granted Garanti BBVA an operating license for its new subsidiary, Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Service, Inc., effective February 15, 2024. The innovative new company will begin offering a selected group of customers a beta version of its digital payment solutions under the TAMİ brand in March.

BBVA's CEO Onur Genç said that "In the future, we expect economic growth in our main markets, despite the context.” He also stressed that BBVA’s digital strategy has proven successful. One example is the bank's model in Italy. "In one or two years we will consider expanding this model to one or two new markets," he said Tuesday, during his participation at the 30th Financial Sector Meeting, hosted by Spanish daily ABC and Deloitte.

In 2021, seven banks, with BBVA as the only Spanish bank, participated in the launch of Swift Go. There are currently over 600 banks in 120 countries that offer this solution for low-value payments, streamlining the collection of payment for services to cross-border clients for SMEs, and making it easier for individuals to buy online in other countries. 85 percent of the payments made on this service are completed in three minutes or less.

BBVA has reached an agreement with BAC Credomatic that will benefit clients of both banks, thanks to wider geographical coverage for their cash management operations. Companies using BBVA Pivot will be able to make payments and transfers with their subsidiaries, customers and suppliers in six new Central American countries from the same cash management solution, which will now integrate BAC accounts as if they were BBVA's. Just one year after its launch, Pivot already has 1,500 clients and expects to reach a transaction volume of 680 billion euros by the end of 2022.

The EIB Group, comprising the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), has signed a new asset-backed securities (ABS) purchase agreement with BBVA. The deal encompasses several transactions through a single securitization, with a structure designed to achieve optimal efficiency. In addition, the EIB Group signed an agreement with BBVA for a €54 million synthetic securitization under the European Guarantee Fund (EGF) program.
