Retail is changing. Little by little, retailers are rolling out new tools to improve shopping experience and beef up their customer base. It is true that e-Commerce has thrived on the back of technological development, but, did you know that 80% of those that shop in a store check their webpage first?

80% of tourists go online while on vacation, 70% logging on to public Wi-Fi networks. Free Wi-Fi internet connections are already a standard service that many hotels, restaurants, bars or cafes offer, but they are usually not adequately protected and can be easily hacked by cybercriminals. Also, 21% of tourists use public computers on a regular basis, whether at cyber cafes or in hotel lobbies, which rarely meet minimum security standards.

Spaniards use their smartphones 4.24 hours in average per day, and 24.4% of them use their mobile phone more than 5. According to Rastreator’s ‘3rd Online Comparative Study Towards Smart Savings’ three out of every four Spaniards say they are addicted to their handheld devices.

The number of unemployed in Spain dropped last July to 3,683,061 people, the lowest since August 2009. This number represents a 2.2% drop (83,993 unemployed) compared to June, the highest July drop rate since 1997.
