Madrid is the Spanish city with the most cases of coronavirus and deaths from this pandemic. On a global level, Spain is the country with the most deaths, after Italy and China.
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cleaning and security staff, bank and grocery store personnel, journalists and carriers are just some of the services that are exposed every day to guarantee the minimum services that are needed in the country. BBVA wanted to recognize them and join the millions of Spaniards who demonstrate their appreciation every night from their windows and balconies.
In Mexico City, the BBVA tower, one of the tallest in the capital, has joined this wave of global awareness and solidarity, displaying the message #IStayHome. It’s a reminder to Mexicans in a situation that involves everyone. It also aims to recognize the value and efforts of the people who are working in any field to fight against this pandemic.
