BBVA receives awards for its business models of private banking in Spain, Mexico and Peru

These awards all have a common denominator: the strategic vision of the bank and its capacity for generating a differential customer experience. Both 'The Banker' and 'World Finance' have recognized the great effort BBVA has made in improving its digital offer, while always keeping the customer at the center of the model.

According to Paloma Piqueras, BBVA's Head of Asset Management and Global Wealth, these prizes are the result of a huge effort by the teams in Spain, Mexico and Peru to develop a comprehensive offer that accompanies the customer in his/her financial and non-financial decisions. “Spain and Mexico have always been our largest regions, but it should be stressed that in Peru, they have done a great job in developing a private bank that today, is the best in the country,” she said.

Apart from recognizing it as the best private bank in the world for digital communication, 'The Banker' made a special mention of BBVA Spain in the categories of best private bank in Spain, best private bank for innovation worldwide and the best initiative for client-facing technology during the year.

According to Jorge Gordo, head of the Private Banking Segment at BBVA Spain, “we have a commitment to our customers to create more convenient solutions and to provide the best technological capacities, in order to make financial decisions easier for them.”

The Global Private Banking Awards, which were given out at a gala event in London on October 26, also recognized BBVA Bancomer as the best private bank in Mexico, for the third consecutive year.  According to Salvador Sandoval, Director of Private and Patrimonial Banking, BBVA Bancomer has the best value proposal for private banking clients in the Mexican market. “Our model is to accompany clients and their families in financial and non-financial decisions. This comprehensive vision is what truly differentiates us,” he said.

Lastly, 'World Finance' magazine recognized BBVA Continental as the Best Private Bank in Peru. According to Gonzalo Cortés, director of Premium Banking at BBVA Continental, “In recent years, BBVA Continental has made a clear commitment to reaching the high-end client. In just a few years, we have managed to produce the best offer of financial and non-financial solutions in the market. This, together with the personalized service of our team of private bankers has made us, within a short time, a benchmark in the market in terms of customer experience and providing a full range of services.”
