BBVA honored with several awards for its 2014 Online Report
BBVA wins ‘silver’ mention in the ‘Best online report 2014,’ in the International/Unlisted (in the London stock exchange) category in this year’s edition of the ‘The Corporate & Financial Awards’. This report also received an ARC Award and was shortlisted for the Digital Impact Awards.
BBVA received the ‘silver’ for ‘Best online report 2014’ in the International/Unlisted category in this year’s edition of the ‘The Corporate & Financial Awards’, organized by Communicate Magazine. The winners were announced in a gala dinner held in London, in July.
To justify this recognition, the magazine underscored BBVA’s ongoing efforts to take its conventional annual reports one step beyond, emphasizing how BBVA’s Digital Annual Report 2014 bears witness to the bank’s rise as a leader in the global digital banking industry. According to Communicate Magazine, “the bank’s reports harness the digital media to their fullest potential, combining video, PDFs and pop-ups to build stakeholder loyalty.” The report has been described by experts as a “digital platform capable of running as a stand-alone platform”.
This report has received even more accolades, asthe ARC Awards also gave BBVA the top award (gold) for best interactive annual report among international banks.
BBVA is on the 'short list', along with Alcatel, BT, ING Group and Rolls-Royce, of the Digital Impact Awards for the "Best Use of Digital to an Investment Audience: Best Online Annual Report" category. The winners will be announced in London on October 14.
