BBVA Compass and the Houston Rockets partner to launch contest for local small businesses
BBVA Compass, through its Bright Futures platform, and the Houston Rockets have partnered to launch the Bright Advantage contest for local small businesses.
In addition to a grand prize of $10,000, Houston-area small businesses will compete for the chance to win lunch with Rockets executives, a personal consultation with BBVA Compass on how to create a bright future for their business, a private suite at a Rockets game next season, a meet and greet with a Rockets legend, and an opportunity to be featured on the Rockets website.
"Small businesses are the cornerstones to thriving, vibrant communities,” said BBVA Compass Houston CEO Mark Montgomery. “We strive to create opportunities for a brighter future for everyone and teaming with the Rockets to help Houston’s top innovative minds significantly contributes to that mission.”

“The Houston Rockets are excited to partner with BBVA Compass for this chance to highlight and reward some of the wonderful small businesses that help make our community a better place,” said Rockets Chief Executive Officer Tad Brown.
Houston-area small businesses are encouraged to submit their nominations online, explaining why their company is creating brighter futures for its employees and the surrounding community. Entries will be judged by BBVA Compass, the Rockets organization, and members of local Chambers of Commerce.
The Bright Advantage will run through March, with four finalists announced at the end of the month. Rockets fans will then select the winner of the competition by voting for their favorite submission online. The winning small business will be announced Mid-April.
