BBVA Compass and AEG sign multiyear agreement
BBVA Compass has agreed to a multiyear agreement with the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company AEG to create opportunities for customers across the country, including events, concerts and brand activations at some of AEG’s key venues. The deal names BBVA Compass the exclusive banking partner across Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, Ogden Theatre (both in Denver, Colorado), and Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie (Texas).
The agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, is part of the bank’s commitment to creating opportunities and positive experiences for clients and the communities it serves. The unique pairing also allows the bank to expand its brand in the selected markets, elevate client and prospect engagement, and utilize its digital reach through special promotions at venues and events.
This new agreement will help us create a bigger wave of customer and prospect engagement
“We’re a bank that creates opportunities for our clients in different ways, and we want to keep that momentum going with an organization that strives toward that same goal,” said BBVA Compass President and CEO Onur Genç. “We are always looking for ways to create value through our financial products and client experiences. This agreement continues to combine our competitive financial services with the unique experiences that naturally come with being a BBVA Compass client. Whether clients are attending a sporting event or a concert for their favorite musical artist, this new agreement will help us create a bigger wave of customer and prospect engagement.”
We are thankful to continue this relationship across numerous AEG entities.
“We have a long-standing relationship dating back to our work together on what is now BBVA Compass Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo and formerly owned by AEG,” said Senior Vice President of AEG Global Partnerships Nick Baker. “We are thankful to continue this relationship across numerous AEG entities throughout the country and enable physical, digital and experiential programs for audiences to engage in.”
The agreement benefits multiple markets, including Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Denver and Dallas. It includes the following components:
Venue rights: BBVA Compass will have branding rights to multiple entertainment venues across certain markets, including the PlayStation Theater in New York, Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre and Ogden Theatre in the Denver area, and Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie in the Dallas area.
BBVA Compass Patio Sessions: AEG and BBVA Compass will host a series of 10 patio sessions with emerging artists in Phoenix, Denver, and Dallas. Locations and times will be determined at later dates.
All-Star Chef Classic: BBVA Compass will have exclusive branding rights to All-Star Chef Classic, March 7-10, 2018, an exclusive annual culinary celebration hosted at L.A. LIVE that gives attendees the chance to see world-renowned chefs in their element.
Amgen Tour of California: During the Amgen Tour of California, May 13-19, 2018, BBVA Compass will be the presenting sponsor of the Chairman’s Dinner & Ride, an exclusive kickoff celebration, featuring a private dinner and VIP ride.
In addition to its new agreement with AEG, BBVA Compass has previously teamed with additional organizations and individuals focused on sports, music and fine arts, including the Houston Symphony, as well as worked with brand ambassadors such as Tyler Dial, Sandra Lee, James Harden and the Roca brothers. This past year, the bank held its Live Bright Bash at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston in January, before pro football’s biggest game came to town. In May, that same venue celebrated its five-year anniversary.
More details on events BBVA Compass is collaborating on with AEG will come at later dates.
